PSB Academy works its students hard. That's because they know how hard life can be for graduates entering the workplace. The problem was that school leavers thought that studying at PSB Academy was going to be a tedious slog. As a result, many were choosing to study at other universities.
We had to show potential students that working hard for a degree was not just a good thing, but that it could be fun and rewarding.
Our solution: Room 101 – the world's first online game show in a classroom.
12 potential students, put through the wringer as they tried to sit for exams. And learning serious skills such as perseverance, determination and focus, in not so serious ways.
Sitting for exams while a heavy metal band played, and feathers flew, were two of the ways we showed how determination and perseverance pay off – all while providing entertainment to our young audience.
